Every artist needs a reliable studio assistant, but mine happens to have four legs, a curled tail, and an obsession with unearthing canvas materials directly from the shore. While out gathering inspiration along the beach, our Shar Pei Pup immediately went to work. Nose deep in the sand, paws flying, he was determined to uncover the absolute best smooth stones and hidden gems buried just beneath the surface. There’s nothing quite like watching a dog fully immerse themselves in the joy of the moment—it’s a quick, grounding reminder of why we love coming out here to forage for nature’s art supplies in the first place.
Between the fresh salt air, the waves, and our Shar Pei Pup dedicated excavation work, we came away with a basket full of smooth beach stones and a whole lot of laughter. Next stop: turning these beachy finds into our next set of painted treasures!
