“Oystercatcher” This painting was inspired by observing Oystercatchers fly and play on the seashore on one of my favorite beaches in Port Townsend Washington. This beach is very special because it is very difficult to access so many local birds can be seen on this very special beach. The Oystercatchers are one of the most fun to watch play on the rocks and fly in and out of the shoreline. This specific one had a morsel in this beak and was trying to open it, so it was fun to watch the process.
