He’s a rugged island explorer proudly hauling giant driftwood trophies off the beach. Next, he’s executing “The Smolder” like a true main character. (The Tangled Angle): Move over, Flynn Rider… Ambrosius has perfected “The Smolder” winking his way straight into your heart. I caught both on camera and we haven’t stopped laughing! This adventure reminded me of this Acrylic Painting I created 3 years ago of our pup staring into our back field!

Leaving a little light where local history meets the shore. We tucked this hand-lettered “LOVE” jar at the base of the statue today to brighten the path for anyone passing by. It takes just a few seconds to spread a little joy!

There is something peaceful about starting the day by the water, especially when you are leaving a small token of light behind for someone else to find. Today, we brought one of our hand-painted “LOVE” jars filled with polished stones down to the beach, nestling it right where the sea breeze meets the coastal grass.
Tied off with vibrant yellow fabric and a white ribbon, it stands out like a little splash of sunshine against the water. The goal is simple: to give whoever stumbles across it a momentary reminder that they are seen, valued, and surrounded by beauty.
Keep your eyes open along the coast—you never know what little treasures are waiting to brighten your path!

Nature has a way of leaving us in complete awe. During a recent coastal outing, I spotted a noble Great Blue Heron perching along the water’s edge. Watching these patient, striking birds in their natural element is always a serene experience.
Seeing the heron brought back wonderful memories of a piece I created a few years ago. In my illustration, I captured the bold posture, fierce gaze, and sweeping, textured plumes of the heron using rich tones of teal, blue, and gold.
It is always inspiring to see how quiet moments out in nature turn into lasting art.
Part 2 is here!!! Watch that beach-tumbled canvas transform into a golden rose garden. The shimmer of the gold base paired with those rich pink layers turned out better than I imagined. What do you think of the final look? Drop your thoughts below!

Getting started and completing my Art Rock project!
I love finding vintage marbles on the beach and creating jewelry out of them!!

Every piece of art starts with a story.
Watch Aloura discover the perfect beach-tumbled canvas for her next Art Rock project! What do you think she should paint on it? Drop your ideas below, and stay tuned for Part 2!
Watching the Eagles fly and play together is so much fun while I search for future rocks that will eventually become Rock Art!!
Beach hunt with my Pup!!
There’s a quiet magic to watching the tide rush over a bed of shore pebbles, instantly polishing raw stones into vivid, shining works of future art…. I love the feeling of listening to the gentle waves come in and the scent that fills the air on my beach walks.
Amazing Stones shining in the Sun and Waves!!
On a Sunny windy morning as I walked along the driftwood piles that adorne our beautiful beach my eye caught this beautiful and unique Braided Bull Kelp. I was a bit confused since the braiding was so intricate so I had to research how it got that way. I asked AI and this is what it said:
That is braided bull kelp (or dried kelp whip/stipe).
When bull kelp washes ashore and begins to dry out, its long, rubbery stipes become flexible and leather-like, making it a classic natural material for beachcombers to braid, weave, or shape before it fully hardens.
I love to take pictures of Seaweed and add whatever I find on the beach to create the following photographs below.

Walking on Glass Beach in Port Townsend really inspires me and puts me in a meditative state that allows me to create Artwork. Creating with Sea Glass is so fun and it’s an amazing way for me to give back to my current community. I create Suncatchers made of Sea Glass that I will give to local folks that work in our community. This 8 mile hike is filled with beauty and peace so by the time I arrive home I am ready to create.

It is such an amazing treat for the senses to have a beautiful and majestic Eagle fly overhead as you walk on the beach. This amazing Eagle was having so much fun just flying near the water! I love to paint Eagles!

It is amazing how such beauty is just laying around the beach waiting to be admired. I love the beach. It brings so much peace of mind and opens my creativity everyday. I love the colors of Sea Glass we find on our walks. It;s incredible what the ocean has done to the old glass from bottles, candy dishes, old marbles as far back from the the 1930s….
